Introduction
This is an excellent little textbook
on classical thermodynamics. This book was originally a set of
lecture notes for a graduate level physics class taught at the
university of Chicago. Dr. Fermi does an excellent job explaining
the basic principles of thermodynamics and the exercises provided
are enjoyable to work. As a graduate student, I worked feverously
though this book, and recently turned my notes into somewhat of a
study guide and solution manual for the book. Below, I am
including both the current state of my write up and my original
handwritten notes. My hope is that this work will be found
beneficial to others.
