Numerical Analysis: Mathematics of Scientific Computing

by David Kincaid and Ward Cheney

This is a great book on numerical analysis and covers all of the "required topics" in a very clear manner. A great benefit of this book is that it treats the topics at a bit of a higher level than many undergraduate textbooks. Thus in reading this book you will perhaps learn more than you might by reading other books covering similar material. Readers unfamiliar with this version of the book can see what others have said here.

To learn this material as well as possible I'm working through the book's exercises and wrote up solutions as I went along. This is a work in progress that currently only includes some solutions. In my spare time I'm currently working on a text solution manual for this book. You can get a preview version here.

As always, I am interested in hearing about any errors that might exist in this material.
